The maintenance work completed around an hour ago but some issues were encountered so a decision has been made to hold off the move untail a later date.

We have now commenced the maintenance work for the Linx Server One MySQL server.

Databases will be unavailable until after the work is complete.

This weekend we shall be carrying out some essential maintenance to the Linux server your site(s) are located on.  This maintenance is required to ensure the continued operation of the MySQL server and to also ensure there is no possible loss of service in the future.

The work will involve stopping the MySQL server and moving all databases to a larger partition.  This will allow us to better manage the space used by all the databases on the server.

We anticipate the work will take approximately 30 minutes and the work will be carried out at a point between the hours of 7pm and 10pm on Sunday 18th January. During the move, if you are using MySQL for your site, the databases will be unavailable and your site may produce an error.  We will send out a further communication once the work has been completed.

No action is required on your part but despite the fact we will making multiple backups prior to the move, we do recommend that you have your own backups in place before the move takes place.
