The Helm control panel is currently unavailable due to an issue with server IS-03711. We are looking into his now and hope to resolve the problem shortly.

Update 10:30 – This has now been resolved.

IS-14721 VM Host Node Issue

A few moment ago the IS-14721 host node lost connectivity. To resolve the issue it was necessary to reboot the host node.

The reboot has now completed and all VMs are back online. If your VM is not responding then please open a support ticket.

VPS Host Node Issue

We are currently experiencing connectivity issue on IS-14721 which has resulted in VMs on this server not responding.

We are currently rebooting the node and VMs are coming back online so we should have the problem resolved shortly.

Mailserver Outage

We are experiencing a problem with the Windows mail server not being able to receive mail. We are looking into this as a matter of urgency.

Windows Mailserver Upgrade

Although we’re slightly behind schedule, the mail server upgrade will now commence.

22:35 – All mail services have been stopped and we are currently backing up data.

22:50 – The upgrade is now complete and mail services are running again. We’re just re-configuring the webmail service for access.

23:03 – There are some issues with the reconfiguration of the webmail service so we have made the decision to roll back to SmarterMail 8 for the time being.

23:09 – The downgrade is complete and all mail services have been restored. We shall attempt the upgrade again once we have established where the webmail issue caused problems for users logging in to the service.

Upcoming Windows Mailserver Maintenance

On Wednesday 28th March we shall be upgrading all the Windows mail servers to the latest version of SmarterMail. This work will involve taking mail services offline for a short period so the upgrades can be carried out. A summary of the work is shown below:

Date: 28th March 2012
Time window: Between 18:00 and 22:00
Expected downtime: < 30 minutes

During this maintenance window, mail services will not be available and mail will be delivered to our backup mail server.

Updates will be posted on http://www.openmindstatus.com and you are encouraged to refer to this page whilst the upgrade is in progress.

Open Mind Hosting Billing/Support systems

Network Upgrade Phase II

Please read this message as it contains important information about the service that we provide to you.

As part of our long term commitment to continually raising the level of hosting service that we provide you with, we are undertaking a major capital investment programme to improve and upgrade our entire network.

The net result of this programme will be a network with greater capacity and redundancy, complete with a ‘future proofing’ capability enabling us to offer you new services like IPv6 and MPLS in the very near future.

We planned to implement this upgrade in two phases, and the first phase was completed on 1st December 2011. We are now ready to implement phase two of the upgrade which involves the migration of the rack uplinks to the new network segments. The second phase is scheduled to start on 22/03/2012 at 23:00 and complete on 23/03/2012 at 06:00 am GMT. This will cause a short period of connectivity interruption of less than two minutes.

Network Upgrade Phase I

As part of our long term commitment to continually raising the level of hosting service that we provide , we are undertaking a major capital investment programme to improve and upgrade our entire network.

We are planning to implement this upgrade in two phases over the coming weeks, with the first scheduled window being 1st December between the hours of 01:00 am and 06:00 am GMT. During this window clients will experience a very short period of connectivity interruption of less than two minutes as we change the routing configuration from the current equipment to four fully redundant network segments. The second phase, details of which will be released in a separate communication, will involve the migration of the rack uplinks to the new network segments. Once again as a consequence of implementing Phase 2, clients will also experience a period of less than two minutes of connectivity interruption.
